Can someone help? I have to sit next to a freshman who also plays, or attempts to play, the tuba. I try my best to help him, as he doesn't know the notes or fingerings (well, he knows g-c in the staff) and his pitch is horrible. Most of the time he doesn't even try. I'm sick of having our section sound like crap because he's making up notes. How can I help him to understand that he is a big part in the band (we only have like 13 people) How can I try and get him to understand the music and play it correctly? Please help!
