I've always been under the assumption that Bb, CC, Eb, and F tubas all had their own unique fingerings.
After speaking to oen of my directors, he told me that they don't have different fingering charts, but the peices are keyed and written differently for each tuba.
He told me that a Bb, on a piece written for a CC tuba is the same fingering as a Bb written for a Bb tuba?
Is this right? Is the only difference is the addition of a 5th valve sometimes and new alternate fingers?
