I finally have good news! A benefactor has decided to donate $2500 to my school's band program, which will be used to buy a tuba for my use, as I'm in the top band at my school.

There are a few requirements it must have. It must be silver plated, 4/4 size, left shoulder convertible marching, and not a Dynasty product, and most importantly, be under $2500 and have a hard shell case.

So far the Jupiter 384S on 1800usaband.com is jumping out at me screaming "Good deal! Good deal!" but my namd director wants to deal with his guys and they don't acrry Jupiter.

So, what is a comparable convertible tuba that is left shoulder marching, full size, and silver plated? It also should not be any member of the DEG family, none of their convertible tubas are any good, whether being too small, or right shoulder marched.

Thank you all very much for any help!
