Good stuff can be presented to us in unusual ways. Like, I know this person who got to play Bydlo after a just year playing tuba, and had to learn euphonium in record time in order to do it. This same person gets to play lots of Eb solos in a terrible but happy little brass band. What more could I want? Well, truthfully...I'd like to be in some groups where intonation exists and whose members take it out of the case between rehearsals. But we can't have everything, and the key is to enjoy what we have.
