I wasn't talking about supplying a lawyer to defend him if attacked, I was talking about supplying a lawyet to take up is plaintiff's cause. Any member of, say, a good factory worker's union would get all sorts of support from the union if one of his customers was attacking his professional credentials in public without justification.
The school board can hire their own lawyers, though I'm not too impressed with the choice made in this case.
