"starter" tuba mouthpiece

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Mirafone 186 which I bought from "Chrisswid" and, hopefully, will be shipped today. (That part of the story needs a post of its own.)
This horn is coming with the Mirafone mouthpiece, which I plan to use, at least initially. This is the horn that I'm using to return to playing after a very long time. I'm interested in thoughts about a "starter" mouthpiece for my 13 year old son, who's a reed player but has some interest in the tuba. Any ideas?
I may also want to use another mouthpiece myself, but I'll see how it goes when the horn gets here. I have saved all my warm up exercises, notes of instructions from my tuba prof, and other stuff from my college tuba major days, so I'll be going back to the beginning, but at least with some documentation!
Probably, most of my playing is going to be in a community band setting.
Thanks for any ideas you may have.
Graham
