I noticed that when playing on the two mouthpieces, the BB1 had much better tonal centre to it as well as responding better in the middle and upper registers. The tone quality is basically the same type, however the sound is much more focused in the registers on the BB1. Intonation is also much better on the BB1. I feel I can attack "out of nowhere" much easier on the BB1. The Schilke gets to be a bit stuffy in the extreme upper registers and restricts any flexibility for extreme slurs. Just my 2 cents though.
