What you probably have now exprienced are the grumblers in your school. Every school has them. (I have several degrees and they were at every school, big and small). They are usually a group who sit around and criticize other players, the conductors, professors, etc. when they should be doing homework or pacticing. Stay away from them when possible! Of course, listening to others opinions is educational in many respects, but you have to consider the source AND have your BS filter engaged as well as seek out alternate points of view.
Now go practice and do your homework (and watch that caferteia food =P)
