I can honestly say that the tuba I am playing is exactly like everyone is describing.
I grow to love the tone, resonance, color and richness of the sound more each day and everytime I play it.
Everytime I pull it from the case or bag I can't wait to play it. The way it resonates and vibrates makes me want to make music every day, practice and learn how to play it better and therefore make me better.
Even if new, it has become the most favorite tuba that I have ever known, owned or played.
Miraphone is making wonderful instruments with the quality of true Masters. Tubas these days are treasures whether old or new and don't let anyone keep you from playing the one you love the sound and the way it plays. Key doesn't matter, nothing matters but one thing. Does this instrument meet my needs as a player and do I love the sound and the way it plays and does it make me want to play every day and does it beg me to make music with it and not play just notes.
This is how I Feel about mine.
I truly hope you find one that makes u feel this way as well
