I have read on this board (check the archives) that the Bach Megatone mouthpieces do not add sufficient weight or weight in the right places to get the full benefit of Massive Mouthpiece Theory, and that the drilled out throat carries the bulk of the effect. Okay. So why can't I find these things with bowl-shaped cups? I would think by now that R&S would have a Bach 7 model or something! I'd love to play around with this concept, but I never got comfortable with the Helleberg shape so there's not much I'd learn from a Neilan or a Monette, and I just don't think it's worth the wait and effort of having Warburton custom make me one. In an ideal world, someone will reply with a correction, and point me to a Bach 7 copy that weighs 127 pounds and costs $14 at Best Buy...
