I'm no pro, but I LOVE playing my horn. I've been talking to a couple of other brass players and we are seriously discussing starting a local, amateur brass quintet. Here's the rub: How often should we rehearse? What kind of music should we start with? How can we publicize our availability without raising unreasonable (Canadian Brass) expectations? We are all people who dearly love music and just want another outlet for our avocational passion. Ideas? Suggestions? Warnings? Encouragement? Thanx!
