if cost becomes an issue, your director may want to consider king 2341's. i think thats the right number. we had 6 silver ones at my high school and they are now entering their 13th year of service and they still look brand new when polished. The cases are extremely durable which is something very important to consider. I can't remember the cost, but i know my dad (the band director) was able to order them even with the school district on austerity budget. just a thought.
