Yes, Jochen, there are polka bands here in the U.S. Most commonly, they are what we refer to as "German bands." In some areas, they are quite common. Much of the repertoire of these groups consists of very old, traditional polkas, waltzes, etc. from various European countries. Examples include some of the following:

Rosemunde(Beer Barrel Polka)(Skoda Lasky)
In Munchen Steht Ein Hofbrauhaus
Liechtensteiner Polka
Das Ist Blasmusik
Alte Kameraden Marsch
Schneewalzer
Du, Du, Liegst Mir Im Herzen

And of course, there are many more.
