If you are looking for a great all-around horn (i.e. something that will do a little bit of everything - quintet, band, solo, small orchestra, etc), then this is a fantastic choice. The only reasonn I got rid of mine is because I pruchased an F tuba and this allowed me to get a larger CC (a MW 2155). I believe it does speak very well in the low register (at least mine did). In fact, much better than the miraphone I owned before it. MW's are very stiff/heavy thus giving it a different feel than many horns. Before you buy anything, make sure you play it.
