buy this horn! i love mine! paid about $5400 for it. rather pricey but worth it. sure, it's got its quirks - no horn is perfect, right? the tuning is not perfect, but this is true of any tuba, everyone reminds me. the low register does not speak as quickly as something such as a miraphone. but, it does speak much quicker than a 2155 or 2165. and, over time i have learned how to articulate down low. and speaking of low, the sound of its low register is very dark and full. i find i cannot overblow this tuba!
so, in summary, i would say buy this horn because of its sound. any problems you might have that i mentioned i'm sure you will quickly overcome.
