The rate I quoted in my last post is, even with the CMA membership, as good as any rate I've seen posted here. More importantly, they deal exclusively with musicians. If something happens to my horn, I know I will receive a quick and fair settlement. I have no trust that Geico (or any other company dealing primarily in auto insurance) would come through if a tuba, which in your case is likely worth $10,000+ but unappraised(!), was damaged or stolen. I sincerely hope you never have to test the system.
