Of course, this is too late for Paul, but in the same interest that Paul stated for his disclosure, I'd like to ask if regular instrument insurance would cover this loss.
My homeowner's policy, on which my tubas are scheduled, is supposed to pay replacement value for any loss. Thankfully I haven't had to test it. And I don't play professionally, and I'm sure that affects what insurance is available. But I know that insurance is available for the instruments of professionals, and I wonder if it would cover a shipping loss.
