but I was just browsing through Rick Denny's web site and noticed that Dale's factory 6/4 CC Holton 345 is listed at 39". The cut version next to it is listed as being an inch shorter. My BBb Holton 345 is 36" even, and it hasn't been modified.

I'm just currious. Were the BBb 345's typically shorter than the CC's? Since the cut horn was also a couple inches taller than mine, how much variation was there in the production dimensions for 345's in the same key, and why?

I had named my 2341 "Stumpy". Perhaps I should continue to use that name for the Holton.
