I didn't even read the posts below, but I can with confidence make the statement that anyone who strives to find and acquire any instrument that was "once made" can usually succeed in their endeavor if persistant, so discussing "no longer made" instruments IS of value...
...and quite often a lot more interesting reading than the redigested pabulum that are exposed to over and over again about bourgeois consumer tubas.
