Another question. Do you know how he utilizes them? Does one sit in the case all the time while the other gets more heavily used? Did you have a favorite? How do they differ in playing characteristics?
We should ask Scott Mendoker, TUBA Orchestral editor, to do an interview regarding not only the history of York copies, but of how the the horns are today. Including pictures of the YamaYork, Yorkbrunner, Holton, and the original 2. Would love to get Mr. Pokorny's take on how they perform in his work environment.
They are still mystical creatures to many of us.
