ravel gave it to the tuba because he wanted to have the sound of the tuba in that register,
not the sound of a trombone. yes, Mr Pokorny is one of my idols, but just because he gives
bydlo to the trombone doesn't mean that, if i could satisfy the solo, I would give it to a trombone
player.
