Now I know someone's first responce will be "search the archives", Well I'll say I have and really didn't find anything.
All this talk about French C tubas, tenor tubas and euphoniums got me curious.
Now that I think we have discovered what a tenor tuba is, I am wonder how does a french C tuba differ from a euphonium? Besides the obvious; number of valves and key. I have found that it seems they were made with shanks from the medium size Euro shank, through tuba size shanks. I know Euguen Dowlinds used one on his CD, and the sound is alot like a big euph, alot like when he plays the F but not quite. But I have also heard this done by many euph players.
Any comments?
