Well, someone in the tuba community made the seller a very happy and suprised person. I was suprised to see HarvHappyHorns bidding up to $5K for this thing! I think it will be cut in the hopes that they will render themselves a CC york like Arnold Jacobs'. If you do the math $6K for the horn and then approx $6K for the complete overhaul and cut with new valveset from a shop like Dillons you come to $12K which is still unfortunately cheaper then either of the best two copies on the market (Nirschl and Hirsbrunner), but you are taking the gamble that it will turn out the way you want it to. Luckily for the buyer, he now has access to a high quality valveset that is identical to the original York, instead of a cut Holton set or a B&M set which are good, but not quite the same.
