Actually I once have tried a Miraphone 3+2 piston euph. 5th valve being of a long half step. Engraving told the model name to be Symfonie or Symphony.

The test seance took place in 1993 outside a stadium in the southwestern corner of Poland, where my Danish band and our Belgian competitors waited to enter the marching part of the competition.

Despite the competition we were on very friendly terms, so I got to try that euph, which was the marching instrument for their Eb tubist. What a defector!

That instrument was offered to me for DM 3000 ($1500), which fortunately was a bit over my normal standard of allowances.

The instrument was easily played up to the 12th partial on my bassbone mpc, but was too lightweight in sound.

Never saw that instrument documented in a catalogue.
