If by lip blisters you mean cold sores, then there isn't a cure.

I've found that while stress, lack of sleep, and bad diet all have a chance to trigger outbreaks for me, the main thing that causes them to appear is an inconsistent playing routine.

If I lay off the horn for a few days then jump in full throttle I'll almost always get one. I try to keep a consistent playing routine to avoid physical stress on my chops. Also sometimes cold sores just appear out of the blue. I haven't had a cold sore in probably 9-12 months however, so I think I'm managing things well.

There's some non-prescription products such as Abreva, Carmex, and plain old vaseline that help you cope when you do get one. Also, you can get a prescription for acyclovir in either ointment or pill form. It seems to work very well in shortening the healing time.

Products that dry out your lips such as Zilactin and Campho-phenique are ones to avoid.
