Consistency definitely matters...reputation (as I found with the Prestiges) matters less when it's time to buy. I've never had the opportunity to go to either Switzerland or Custom Music to try a bevy of Willsons at once, but like mentioned above, 2900 owners seem to be really happy with them. Most that are offered for sale seem to be from players getting out of the euphonium business, rather than players moving on to a different brand of horn. So, the reputation of the 2900 seems mopre solid than that of the prestige. I'm glad you were able to get your own 2900...enjoy it!
