Tuba/Euphonium Genealogy

At my school the violin teacher has posted a "family tree" which traces modern violin teachers/virtuosos all the way back to Corelli. Has anyone ever traced the genealogy of tuba/euphonium teachers and performers?
I've often heard of people mentioning that they are a "student of a student of Arnold Jacobs", and the importance of with whom to study has been mentioned several times on this BBS. I'd like to see the connection between today's teachers and performers and the big names of the past. Would it be possible to trace back the tubas to Bill Bell (and who were the prominent teachers before him? Outside of the US?) and the euphoniums to Simone Mantia, Art Lehman and Joseph Raffayola?

Thanks!
