The bells lookd factory with rolled rims and were the same overall height as the other sizes. This was several years ago now that I saw them, but he did have four sizes, from what I can remember, of bells for the King 2341/1241 series BBb's. He did use them all as well. THe bigger ones were for outdoor stuff and the smaller ones for indoor stuff. For his small tuba he used a Conn 5J for high stuff. A dedicated BBb player! He also had a 5 valve Marxan in BBb with a detachable bell. I remember him using the 17" bell the most on the Kings, as it seemed to give the horn a lot of "core" to the sound.
