Well... I have a few thoughts. I don't know wether or not it's a band or an orchestra that your playing in. But if you do start getting into it more I am sure that you will want to get into the orchestral playing. If and when this happens you will probably want a C tuba. That is the orchestral tuba ( in laymens terms ). But if you are not looking at spending a whole lot of money, but want a fairly good tuba that has a nice sound, would go with the Miraphone 186. Depending on which you want you will want, that is what you will get. In my opinion I would go with the c 186, but if you don't really want to spend the time to learn the new fingerings I would go with the 186B.
