The 189 is probably my strongest choice right now, but the case issue still remains, as the 189 was such a strange instrument config-wise. Seeing how there is no way a gig bag will work for high school, does anyone know where you could get a case that would fit, other than the Miraphone slimline or one that you made yourself? Historically, I guess Miraphone dumped a design if it was inconsistent or a flop(take the 330? sousaphone and the 190) and the 189 has been around for awhile. $4695 for such a tuba is a deal that can't be passed up. Still, we may just end up going for a 186 due to price. Lastly how much do Alexanders go for, generally? We're going to Brasswind on the week of the 24th.
