What you're describing seems, to my untrained eyes, to be something abnormal. If your legs hurt that badly without a horn in your lap, and you're only in high school, then, well, something just ain't right.
Take a look at getting a physical of some sort. I can't offer any further advice, because nobody that I know has experienced the pain you're describing.
