okay, I see and understand your point and somewhat agree with you. but, in the long run of things, the guys who are the same age and already have the both horns will have that much more of an edge in professional auditions. If a high school kid buys a CC in his senior year and waits until his second or third year of college to get his F, while another kid the same age got the F in high school, the latter kid will have 2 years more experience with F tuba as well as playing both horns on the same day.
Anyway, this conversation, while very interesting, will likely not affect the views or opinions of anyone reading it. So, I will read any rebuttals, but have no intention of posting any further. Thanks for reading!
