I use the Schilke 59 mouthpiece on euphonium, and from what I read here, I'm
not alone. It works great for about 90% of band music. I have some endurance
problems though when music gets higher than G and stays there.
Has anyone been able to develop enough endurance on this large of a mouthpiece
to play solos with band? Most solos seem to fall more into the Tenor Trombone
register. Should I switch to a smaller mouthpiece for solos?
