Pass along what you know to the kids!
There are numerous high school programs around that are looking for qualified tuba/euph instructors. If you do sectionals for the school, then stick around and teach 2 or 3 students after school, and do that at 5 different schools 5 days a week it can make you some scratch.
Figure $20 an hour, conservatively. 1-1/2 hours of sectional time + 3 hours of lessons = $90 per day. Multiply by 5 days a week, and you're making decent money. Remember: $100 a weekday = $26,100 a year. Not bad pay; better than most regional orchestras.
There have to be 5 high schools around Atlanta/Dalton/Chattanooga that need your services, and can pay for them. Beats turnin' big macs.
