with the caliber of players that were there(and the panel knew were there, i seriously doubt they would have given these great players "the shaft" to bank on a 19 yr old kid unless he truly earned it and played better then everyone(and he did it in every round). from what i hear from a colleague of mine who made finals, all rounds were totally blind. excuses, excuses, excuses. two days worth of playing determined the winner, not some blind luck audition at 5am outside in the cold blowing wind.
