Members of the Air Force concert band frequently augment the ceremonial band for special occasions such as Pentagon arrivals, inaugural parades, etc. The AF jazz band (Airmen of Note) is pretty much separate with its own personnel. However, there are many opportunities to freelance in the DC area.
