I believe that the 5th valve on that horn is a flat whole step, or in other words, it is like a flat first valve. If so, it is primarily used to bring the notes below the BBb in tune in place of the first valve in any combinations. For example, play EEb as 4&5 instead of 1&4 (or more commonly 1,2,&4). Of course it also opens up a number of other alternate fingerings throughout your range, wherever the first valve is sharp, like Eb commonly is. Play with a tuner and test what works best for you.
