That along with a bitchin opener, an orchestral transcription, a fantastic soloist, an impressive overture, a march that sounds like the best recording you've ever heard, and an original work for band (or two) that knocks your socks off.

That's what it's all about man... you give the audience what they want to hear. As our older veterans are passing on, the military bands are slowly changing their programming. It ain't going to happen overnight, and it never is going to be all heavy stuff either. Hip? Probably not. Entertaining, most definately. Free, yup. Would everyone in that audience go to a military concert again after hearing that? No... but I bet 90% would.

Give 'em what they want to hear. It is a business just like any other.
