I've TRIED to get Anderson Silver Plating to offer a more sparse satin finish. They simply aren't interested, even though it might (??) take less time. I think the "touch" and "eye" required to space the impact points at less than dot-on-dot is not something that they could rely on (referring to possibly a really "talented" blaster quitting, etc.)

I personally don't like the "looks-like-a-rebuilt-alternator" texture either, but that's all that's available unless I want to build a sand-blast booth, teach myself that craft (NO, ITS NOT AN "ART"!! [pet peave]) and then risk investing the time teaching it to MY employee who (who knows?) might quit.

The only way that I know to obtain that finish is to very lightly polish an ORIGINAL satin finish (where one is in pretty good shape) and plate over it.

dad burn it!
