I remember my first "grits" experience. I had just moved to Tennessee, and thought I'd check out the "Waffle House"(there were two.... directly across the street from each other). I ordered some sort of Waffle+Sausage platter, that came with a lump of, from what I could tell, was cream of wheat mixed with sand. I asked the waitress what it was, and she screamed to the cook "hey Jeb, this young boy ain't never hed grits b'fore!" I then received a 20 minute presentation from the Waffle House crew on the various different ways of preparing and eating grits.

....oh, and the 56J is a pretty horn.
