I also have an unclear photo. This one is of the Sousa Band on tour in Hamburg, Germany in 1900. It's an outdoor shot with lots of trees behind the band. Band members are standing on risers. In the back are at least three bass players, maybe four. One brutish-looking guy is wrapped in an enormous "raincatcher" (looks like a 28" bell, or larger). The others are holding tubas, possibly BB flats and EE flats. The valve sections are obscured in the photo, so can't tell if they are rotary or piston horns. All the guys were sporting walrus moustaches. (Maybe part of the "uniform" specified by management?)
