If any of you have heard the new(er) San Fransisco recording of this work, you know it is well worth the expense. I just have one question regarding the tuba part. In the last mvt. at bar 480 there is the big "lick" for the ophecliedes (tubas) up to the high Bb. On the San Fran recording it seems as though there was a trombone player or two (or three) that played the entire "lick" with them. ;) Does anybody else hear this or am I hearing things?
