To get the Kings repaired may not be cost effective, particularly when you see how instruments get banged around in the high schools. I would stick to piston tubas since rotary valves are harder to maintain. I am not a sales guy, but I would recommend an intermediate Yamaha, Conn, or somethin-er-other which you can probably get for just a little more than having your present tubas overhauled. The life expectancy of the newer horns would make the money spent more worthwhile.
