If you have already sent the cash and it bugs you, then mention it to them. I don't mind it so much myself. I find it common for dealers to not be willing to release an instrument to a purchaser if the dealer needs it for an upcoming trade show or exhibition. Especially if the instrument is a good seller, it is difficult for anxious potential purchasers to evaluate a manufacturer's instrument if the last one was sold days prior.

Most instruments you purchase have already been played by several people before you. It is similiar to buying a new car. It may have been test driven by 30 "strangers" before you purchased it. But, then again, if it bothers you, then go ahead and mention it to the dealer to see what can be arranged.
