Fred Greene (Los Angeles freelancer) uses the YFB-621 and has a two-way spring mechanism mounted to his main tuning slide. It's similar to Jim Self's system, except that he basically cradles the horn and operates the tuning mechanism right at the main slide. It's got a finger-mount area near the springs so he doesn't actually grab the slide. He's very happy with it, but he's a big guy so unless your taller than 6', it might not work for you.
