I've had this 3L sitting around in my basement for about a year, but never really played it much because the narrow rim was uncomfortable. However, this year for municipal band I tried it for a set. The discomfort passed after 2 sessions. I've been finding that it seems to:
1. Give a more centered tone overall.
2. Allow more control of the high range without sacrificing intonation in the low range.
3. Allow better control of dynamics, especially accents and sforzandos.

It has now become my favorite mouthpiece.

I checked the archives but did not really find many reviews, mainly requests to buy one. Does anyone else out there have performance reviews on the DW3L?
