The "low" ("pushing-down-several-valves") register on an F tuba is "not that low", and the get-by compromises in pitch made on the CC tuba - with only 5 valves - are not as easily made on the F tuba, because those relative pitches on the F tuba are four steps higher and much easier for others to hear their pitch discrepancies. 6 valves on an F tuba makes for a much nicer instrument, assuming one is going to use the F instrument to play in all tessituras...and no, I don't see any of the piston-rigged models offered with 6 valves.
