This is true! After I had been in the TUSAB Ceremonial Band for about six years and there weren't any prospects on the immediate horizon for me to sit down and play, I asked our commander, Col. Shelburne, for permission to take the Marine Band audition.(This was when Pat Sheridan was leaving the band) My request was denied. I guess once the Army trains someone to stand very still and play the same tunes over and over again, one becomes impossible to replace! HA!!
Oh well...Doody, Honor, Country, etc...
