...part of the battle (as I'm sure the repair guys can attest to)when making a main tuning slide pushrod is to use stiff materials. That was the problem with the rod I had installed on a 621 F...it flexed too much, and I was always afraid it was going to bend. Stainless steel seems like a better choice. Too bad that most instruments aren't designed with the main slide up top, like a Marzan.
