Are there good tubas in your Army band's supply room? Or, does each player have to provide his/her own tuba? Could you persuade the Army to procure an HB-2P for you? Forty-three years ago, I was one of a three man committee to make recommendations for some additional instruments for the two bands at Ft. Lewis (21st, and Fourth Infantry Division). We got eight new Bach Strad trumpets and six new Bach Strad trombones, all Mt. Vernon. Sometimes, Army purchasing listens to recommendations.
